The process is easy!
Thank you for your interest in commissioning a portrait of your pet. My goal is to create a piece you will cherish for a lifetime. All of my work is hand-painted on 140 lb. paper (unless specified otherwise) using professional-grade watercolors.
The process is simple. Just text me at 205-305-2610 or email timblantonart@gmail.com with a couple of your favorite photos. For the best results, take photos outdoors in natural light and at the same level as your pet. Tip: Avoid taking photos from above the pet; make sure their eyes are visible for the best outcome.
Payment is not required until you are 100% satisfied. I will send you a draft image for approval near the end of the process and welcome any feedback you may have. Once the portrait is complete, I will mail it to you via the U.S. Postal Service. Domestic shipping fees are included in the price for unframed pieces, while international shipping fees can be calculated in advance. The completion time varies based on the animal's breed, the painting's size, and the current waiting list. I will provide an estimate after receiving your photos.

The hardest part of owning a pet is saying goodbye. It can be challenging to know how to console someone who has lost a family pet, but the grief can be just as real and overwhelming as losing any family member. Pet portraits make wonderful gifts and are especially meaningful when given in memory of a pet that has crossed the Rainbow Bridge. I consider it an honor to be asked to paint such an important part of your life, and I will do my best to capture the soul of your beloved pet.
