New Ideas for “Framing”

I created this process because I felt like the mat-glass-frame- approach to framing did not work for everyone's decorating style and it was also expensive to have a watercolor professionally framed.  In this process, I mount the watercolor paper directly onto the 1.5 inch gallery wood panels using a matte gel.  Then I apply a light coat of the gel on top of the watercolor in order to provide some protection.  This mounting application gives you the option of hanging the piece or sitting it on a bookshelf or side- table.

If you are interested in having this done to your commissioned pet portraits, please let me know.
